What to expect

At Sports Chiropractic Institute, we are interested in getting you back in action as quickly as possible, here’s an idea of what to expect on your first visit.

>>> Upon arriving on time and with the appropriate new patient forms, Dr. Linkhorn will take a detailed history concerning your chief complaint and some thoughts on how you became injured or what type of goals you’ve set.

>>> Your new patient visit typically takes 30 minutes and will not always include x-rays. X-rays are not a “routine” procedure and only ordered when warranted.

>>> Most patients will receive an adjustment on their first visit. It’s important to know that Dr. Linkhorn is a “hands on” adjuster but has a variety of tools (adjusting/manipulating techniques) to help you get back in the game.

By the end of your first or second visit, Dr. Linkhorn will have designed the best plan for returning you quickly and safely back to play, whether play for you is a weekend hike or a competitive half marathon.

Insurance Information

We, at Sports Chiropractic Institute, understand that you may desire to utilize your insurance benefits. We will file for almost all insurance carriers. We are considered “in-network” or a participating provider for the following insurance carriers:

Aetna
Blue Cross Blue Shield
CIGNA
Great West Health Care
Medicare
Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS)*
United HealthCare

Please note that if Sports Chiropractic Institute does not directly participate with your insurance carrier, you may still be able to receive benefits.

We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance carrier, as your insurance coverage, deductible, co pay, limits are your responsibility and each individual plan can be different. There will typically be a toll free number on the front or back of your insurance card.
