“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” - Joseph Addison. Books play a powerful role in our mental psyche by taking us on a journey, getting us motivated to accomplish big things or realizing things about ourselves that we may have not been aware of. Our team here is always reading to not only help our patients, but for self-growth as well. Here are some of the books that we have read over the past few months and how they can help you in your life:

  1. Atomic Habits by James Clear. This book is all about breaking down habits and realizing the difference between good and bad habit. This book helps create better personal change by breaking down how a habit is formed and how to make it easier to build better habits.

  2. Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins. This book will have you wanting to run through a brick wall without fear and believe that anything is possible. David explains his story about how to overcome adversity in his life and achieve amazing feats by the power of will power and a strong mindset

  3. Daring Greatly by Brené Brown. In this book, Brené Brown talks about vulnerability and the myths associated with it. She compares vulnerability to courage instead of the thought that being vulnerable means that you are weak and how to make a better decision on when you need to be vulnerable.
