We love this instant pot breakfast recipe because it only takes 10 minutes and makes 4 portions. This steel cut oats recipe will be sure to keep you full with 14g of protein, 7g of fat, and 36g of carbs, plus its gluten free and dairy free!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup gluten-free steel cut oats
1 Tbsp maple syrup
2 scoops unflavored protein powder
4 cups water
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup roasted almonds, chopped
1 cup fresh berries
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Add the oats, maple syrup, protein powder, salt and water to the instant pot.
Turn on to PRESSURE COOK on HIGH for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, release the steam. Open lid and stir the oatmeal.
Divide oatmeal into four portions and top with a tablespoon of nuts and 1/4 cup of fresh fruit.
Chef notes: This can also be made in a slow cooker. Be sure to spray the insert of the slow cooker generously with non-stick spray, or use a liner. Add all ingredients, except for toppings, into the pot and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours.
